World of Warcraft Patch 4.3 will be added to the Public Test Realm (PTR) "within a couple of weeks", Blizzard has told Eurogamer.

The words spilled from lead game designer Tom Chilton during an interview with Eurogamer Germany (translated and posted on Eurogamer this morning).

"We should be on the Public Test Realm soon, within a couple of weeks," he said.

World of Warcraft Patch 4.3 brings the monumental battle with mega-dragon Deathwing to a dramatic climax. You'll fight him at The Maelstrom, with help from the likes of Thrall and other famed NPCs.

One of the rewards for beating Deathwing will be be a mount, although Chilton wouldn't give any more information than that.

"Yes, there will definitely be a mount reward for defeating Deathwing," he confirmed. "We're not spoiling what it will be just yet."

Patch 4.3 will also bring a set of Legendary daggers for rogues, plus game features like Transmogrification and Raid Finder.

The Public Test Realm is a server used to test World of Warcraft patch content before it is applied, wholesale, to the masses.

Large content patches can take as long as a month to test, according to the PTR FAQ. WOW Patch 4.3 is a large content patch.

Anyone with an active account prior to the PTR opening may copy a character there, providing they meet specific criteria that will be announced when the PTR opens.

Progress made on the Public Test Realm is not permanent. Characters are wiped when testing finishes.
