Wii receiving online photo service

Order prints, albums, name cards.

Nintendo is allowing Japanese gamers to upload and print photos using their Wii consoles.

The online service, run by Fujifilm, requires you transfer pictures to the console using a camera memory card.

Once uploaded there's the choice of ordering individual prints or albums, plus name cards with your face or your Mii face on. Brilliant. Nintendo is offering themed templates based around the Super Mario series, too.

Fujifilm handles all payment, production and delivery guff, but will only accept credit card and not Wii Points as payment.

There are plans to make this photo service available worldwide, but dates are yet to be announced.
