Alone in the Dark: Illumination represents another radical franchise change; from the single player survival horror of the original to a co-operative multiplayer experience in the vein of Left 4 Dead or Call of Duty's Zombies mode. Our Ian's had a hands-on with the closed beta of Alone in the Dark: Illumination to see how this curious reimagining is shaping up, and whether the new direction can reinvigorate a franchise that many people had already written off.
