Valve's The International 2014 Dota 2 tournament announced

Compendium set to return.

Valve has announced this year's The International Dota 2 tournament.

It will be held on 18th July at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 4th April at 3pm Pacific time - that's 11pm in the UK. Four-day tickets cost $99 for general admission, $199 for floor seating and $499 for VIP level.

Can't make it to Seattle? Fear not. The International will be broadcast worldwide free of charge, with commentary in multiple languages.

For last year's tournament Valve launched the Compendium, an interactive tournament companion that boosted the total prize pool to over $2.8m. The company will unveil this year's Compendium soon.

Last year Swedish professional gaming outfit Alliance won The International, defeating Ukrainian team Na'Vi in a dramatic best-of-five grand final to take home the $1.4 million first prize.
