The Lego Movie Videogame beats Final Fantasy

Lightning Returns, but only in third place.

The Lego Movie Videogame has beaten Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 to the top of the UK all-formats chart.

TT Games' latest block-buster dethroned FIFA 14 to become the sixth Lego game to reach the chart's top spot - the last being Lego Batman 2.

Lightning Returns had to settle for third place, meanwhile.

The Lego tie-in comfortably outsold Call of Duty: Ghosts in second place, although the gap between that and Final Fantasy was far narrower.

Still, UK numbers Chart-Track made no mention of how Lightning Returns' sales compared to other launches in the series.

FIFA 14 was fourth this week, ahead of GTA5 in fifth and another Lego title, Marvel Super Heroes, in sixth.

Battlefield 4 was seventh, Assassin's Creed 4 eighth, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition ninth, while Fable Anniversary was 10th.

An eighth of all games in the UK top 40 are Lego titles - including The Lego Movie, Lego Batman 2 (19th), Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (22nd) and Lego Lord of the Rings (27th).
