Square Enix releases iPod game

Song Summoner now available.

Square Enix has released Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes, a new RPG game for the iPod.

Hero Ziggy is on a mission to rescue his brother from the Mechanical Militia. The songs on your iPod are apparently transformed into "Tune Troopers" you can control in battle. Intriguing characters, an epic story and a tactics-based battle system are promised.

Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes is available from iTunes now for GBP 3.99 / EUR 4.99. It's playable in English and Japanese on the iPod nano with video, iPod classic and fifth generation iPod.
