No online co-op though.

Sonic Adventure 2 is reportedly coming to XBLA and PSN this October.

A listing for the Dreamcast game briefly popped up on Xbox.com earlier today, which NeoGAF user Kokonoe captured in a screengrab.

The game was listed for a 3rd October release, with offline multiplayer, content downloads and leaderboards promised.

One screenshot showed a prompt for the DualShock's circle button, all but confirming a PS3 version is in the works as well.

Based on the quality of the screenshots, this appears to be an HD upgrade rather than simply a port.

The first Sonic Adventure was re-released on XBLA on 15th September 2010 in honour of the Dreamcast's 11th birthday. It cost 800 Microsoft Points (£6.85 / €9.60), though no price was listed for the sequel.

We've reached out to Sega for comment and will update as we hear more.

Way back in 2001 Eurogamer awarded Sonic Adventure 2 a 9/10. "Sonic Adventure 2 is a triumph. Whilst its predecessor was a fantastic game in its own right, it could be a little overbearing with the "adventure" aspect, and with this Sega have gone back to Sonic's roots in style - buy it now," read our review.
