Ratchet & Clank looks set to be the latest PlayStation exclusive series re-jigged in ultra-modern eye-popping high definition.

A listing for Ratchet & Clank HD was spotted on Amazon France last night and, oh, look, it's still there.

The listing says the game is out on 16th May 2012. Mark it in your diary.

Sony's got form with HD collections, of course. It's modernised a raft of PlayStation 2 series, including God of War, Sly Cooper, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus, and Jak & Daxter.

Four Ratchet & Clank games released on PS2, courtesy of Insomniac Games. The platforming fun kicked off with 2002's Ratchet & Clank and ended with Ratchet: Gladiator (Ratchet & Clank 4) in 2005.
