PS3 tops hardware chart in Japan

MGS4 gives Sony's machine a boost.

PS3 was the best-selling console in Japan last week, according to figures from Media Create.

Sony shifted 75,311 machines in the seven days ending June 15th, with sales boosted by the release of Metal Gear Solid 4.

The PSP was in second place (64,675 sold) followed by the Wii (45,564) and DS (39,201).

Then came the PS2, with 7297 consoles sold. Xbox 360 was in last place, again, with sales standing at 2163.
