Samurai almost definitely shouted out emotive words during battle, such as "Pow! Heyar! Boff!" We would. Those swords are a bit good, too. So samurai are brilliant, we've determined, and you can get a taste of life as one in Samurai Warriors 2 expansion Xtreme Legends. It costs 20 pounds, though, so hold your horses for our thoughts if you're not sure.

Live Marketplace also the Legendary Map Pack for Halo 3. Master Chief put a lot of time into making this and is asking for a handful of your money. Should be worth it, though, the last pack was. There is a free Dope Bag map pack for Kane & Lynch to pick up as well.

Otherwise there are Condemned 2 and Universe at War demos up for grabs. Get the first, ignore the second.

The PlayStation Store got a redecoration and didn't they do well? Except, well, it was a bit slow because it was so popular. The headline addition hear was the Metal Gear Online beta client, which goes live a couple of days ahead of its Monday launch, presumably so you can get it all set up and avoid traffic jams next week.

Sony also popped out fresh content for a host of games, such as the Broken Mirror pack for Warhawk, some extra dragons and control options for Lair, and a solo add-on for Super Stardust HD. The only demo was one for SEGA Superstars Tennis.

Nintendo rather unfortunately slipped back into its one a week Virtual Console routine, so Phantasy Star III for the Megadrive is all you're getting today.

Also of note this week is TrackMania Nations Forever. It is free, but is great fun and it lets you play against those who paid for TrackMania United in online mulitplayer. But if you want to buy United, then developer Nadeo Studio is throwing in a TrackMania United Forever expansion for free.

There's also a PC demo of Kung Fu Panda. Smashing.
