Postal is getting a remake for PC, Mac and PS4

By a studio that "focuses on creating socially conscious games."

Infamous mass-murdering isometric shooter Postal is getting a remake by series creator Running With Scissors.

Dubbed Postal Redux, this remake will come to PC and Mac this spring with a PS4 release to follow later this year, which will mark the series' console debut.

Postal Redux will feature updated graphics and an all new Rampage Mode, offering a score-attack variant on the game where you'll receive score multipliers for consecutive kills.

Running With Scissors offered the following statement about Postal's return:

"Postal Redux will maintain the elements that made the original Postal world-renowned. The grim art style, frightening ambience, the omnipresent 'demonic voice' and the marching band will be faithfully recreated in this modern day take on a title which became a symbol for free speech in gaming."

Running With Scissors prides itself on being a publisher and developer that "focuses on creating socially conscious games."

"Best known for their work on the Postal franchise, Running With Scissors develops signature experiences that give the finger to political correctness," the studio said of its philosophy.

In 2007 Postal was adapted into a film that was so poorly received that director Uwe Boll won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Director.
