Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty pricing confirmed at £19.99

Contains Cross-Buy and Cross-Save support.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, the remake of the 1997 PlayStation adventure Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, will cost £19.99 / €24.99 / $29.99, publisher Oddworld Inhabitants has revealed.

Furthermore, it will be a Cross-Buy affair on PS4, PS3 and Vita, so buying it on one version unlocks it on the other two platforms. There's Cross-Save support too, so you can transfer progress to the Vita and back if you'd like to take it on the go.

The price isn't much of a shock as series creator Lorne Lanning suggested as much when I spoke to him at GDC last month. "This game will play better, look better, and you'll have more fun with for more hours of play than games you're paying $60 for," he boasted. "That's a promise. And I can say that with absolute confidence."

"If this had a publisher, the price would be higher and they'd be calling in triple A," he added.

The developer noted that a final release date will be revealed ahead of E3 on 9th June and information about the game on other platforms will "follow in due course".
