No dismemberment in Ninja Gaiden 3

Gamers don't "want to see that anymore".

As detailed in our recent Ninja Gaiden 3 preview and clearly evident in the teaser trailer below, Team Ninja's next effort isn't exactly dialing back the gore.

However, according to IGN, the series' trademark dismemberment and decapitations have been sliced out of the impending threequel.

The reason? According to a Team Ninja spokesperson, "We don't think people want to see that anymore. They've already seen it."

Tecmo Koei's first full Ninja Gaiden game since former Team Ninja boss Tomunobu Itagaki flew the roost is due out in 2012, complete with Move support for PlayStation 3.
