Nintendo registers Euro 3DSWare mark

Nintendo has registered the trademark "Nintendo 3DSWare" in Europe for use in connection with "videogame apparatus".

The mark was granted on 9th September. Check out a screenshot of the filing below.

The platform holder has already registered 3DSWare - among a number of other marks - in Japan, as we discovered a few months ago.

Digital distribution was something of a given for the 3DS now that it's so prevalent on both Nintendo Wii and DSi.

Nintendo has yet to comment on rumours that it will launch the 3DS in Japan on 20th November.
