Ninja Theory opening Bleeding Edge technical alpha to PC players this week

But you'll need to be selected first.

Hellblade developer Ninja Theory will be opening up its ongoing Bleeding Edge technical alpha to PC players later this week.

Bleeding Edge, which delivers a colourful blend of third-person melee action and class-based 4v4 multiplayer, has held regular technical alphas since its unveiling back in June, but these have been exclusively available to Xbox One players.

From Thursday, 24th October, however, PC players will be able to get involved, but only if they've already been accepted into the alpha. As such, newcomers will first need to register their interest through Ninja Theory's sign-up page then wait for a response.

Those already in the alpha can try out the PC version simply by downloading the Windows 10 Insider app and installing the technical alpha version of Bleeding Edge for free.

This week's session will run from 7pm-10pm in the UK, and additional region timings - alongside recommended PC specifications - are detailed in Ninja Theory's latest blog post. The developer also notes that its newest build will support cross-play, meaning that PC and Xbox One player will be duking it out together in the alpha.

And if you're curious to know more about Bleeding Edge, Eurogamer's Chris Tapsell went hands-on with the game, and spoke to its creative director Rahni Tucker, back at E3.
