Taito is working on a sequel to one of the PSP's more unusual games, Exit.

Called Kangaeru Exit (or Thinking Exit) and due out this September, the new game adds a number of features to the existing idea of rescuing people from sticky situations.

According to a preview in the latest Famitsu, partly translated by IGN, Thinking Exit sees hero Mr. ESC tackling more puzzles than he's used to, across the game's 110 stages.

The actions Mr. ESC can perform are dictated by the player and there are 12 basic instructions, including obvious things (walk, run, open) and less obvious (fall, command people, operate things like elevators).

You'll also face new obstacles like ropeways and escalators (dear god no!) and you'll have new types of survivor to guide to safety too, including dogs and stronger male or female characters, who can presumably put their beefiness to good use.

There'll be more downloadable content too. So look out for THAT.
