Nintendo Power magazine is hinting at a new Castlevania game for the DS.

In a short blurb about the next issue, which is due out soon, NP hints at its cover-story thus: "As mysterious as a new moon, the follow-up to one of 2005's best DS titles is a whip-smart adventure that you won't want to miss."

The whips and moon stuff seems quite obvious, and of course Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow certainly was one of 2005's best DS titles, despite the depth of competition, so it wouldn't be too surprising to hear about another one.

Series producer Koji Igarashi has previously said that home console games (like Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness) will focus on events prior to Dracula's death, while handheld titles will deal with events later in the Castlevania timeline - in other words, barring a complete about-face, you can expect more post-Drac boffing from whatever happens next on the DS.
