This And That: Wednesday News Roundup

(Updated throughout the day.) Updates on Namco's release plans for Ace Combat 5 and Death by Degrees, and Microsoft Japan's Phantom Dust.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has already announced that it will publish Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War during Q1 2005, but anybody hoping to get their hands on it sooner will be pleased to hear that Namco intends to release it in the USA this November, and presumably beforehand in Japan.

Meanwhile, Death by Degrees, Nina Williams' Tekken spin-off adventure game, should appear in the States this October, and is also down for release in Europe via SCEE during the first few months of next year.

Equally likely to appear this year in Japan is Microsoft Game Studios' biggest Eastern prospect, Phantom Dust, which may not have shown up at E3 but is still well on track according to Microsoft man Peter Moore, who said as much in a recent interview on the platform holder's official Japanese website.
