Tecmo's Tomonobu Itagaki has reportedly confirmed that he plans to create a fifth game in the Dead Or Alive beat-'em-up series.

"I've already started writing the basics for DOA5," he's said to have told the crowd at the game's 10th anniversary party.

"I cannot talk about it but the opening scene has already [been] determined in my head," he continued, according to Team Xbox's account.

Other write-ups claim he added that first gameplay concepts have been fixed and that there won't be any tag team battles.

Itagaki's Team Ninja team recently completed work on spin-off title Dead Or Alive X2, which is due out in Europe on 8th December.
