Following the success of the PSP's excellent Gradius Collection, Konami has decided to round up a few more of its old-days shooter and pop them on UMDs as well.

Initially just due out in Japan next January, they are Salamander Portable, Twinbee Portable and Parodius Portable, and each will feature five games, and, if Gradius Collection is anything to go by, will allow you to play in normal and widescreen perspectives.

Of the five games in each collection, Konami is keeping quiet about one, but we know that Salamander Portable will consist of Salamander, Salamander 2, Life Force and Xexex, Twinbee Portable will include Twinbee, Detana Twinbee, Twinbee Yahho! and Pop'n Twinbee, while Parodius Portable will feature Parodius da!, Gokujou Parodius, Sexy Parodius and Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius.

We'll let you know if Konami announces any plans for the West.
