Sims Christmas add-on planned

Deck the halls with virtual holly.

EA has announced plans to release The Sims 2 Christmas Party Pack, a festively themed expansion for the popular PC title.

It'll contain more than 40 Christmas-related items so you can decorate your Sims' home, serve up turkey with all the trimmings, host a New Year's Eve party and even organise a visit from Santa himself.

"Players enjoy participating in all the ups and downs of their Sims' lives, from the big things like falling in love or building and decorating a house to the memorable things like putting up your family's first Christmas tree and hosting a Christmas dinner," said senior producer Tim LeTourneau.

"Even mundane details like ordering a pizza or fixing your toilet are humorous and fun."

The Sims 2 Christmas Party Pack is being released in plenty of time for the festive shopping season on November 18, a good 36 days before we actually start our festive shopping.
