Star Wars Episode III game trailer

You've seen the trailer for the film by now, so why not have a look at this too?

By now you've probably seen the film trailer for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and, if you're anything like us, you still found something compelling about it, whatever your views on Episodes I and II. But then perhaps that was Lucas's plan all along; stoke everyone's fiery internal conflict between Star Wars apologist and angry detractor and convert us all to the dark side in one fell swoop? It might work. It'll get him our money, regardless.

The Star Wars Episode III console game, however, will have to work a little harder. Knights of the Old Republic and Battlefront notwithstanding, years' worth of shoddy Star Wars games means that most people have some sort of bad memory associated with that classic logo nowadays, and for some reason we can't bully ourselves into believing again like we can do with the films.

Which, to bring this rambling to a point, is something that LucasArts and dev-du-jour The Collective will be hoping to overcome with their Revenge of the Sith title, due out alongside the film on May 5th 2005, and the trailer for the game released this week certainly holds some promise - it's full of battle sequences, warring Jedi, Force powers and the photo-mapped faces of the likes of Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, Emperor Palpatine and Obi-Wan Kenobi. But we'll leave you to draw your own conclusions - you can download the 13MB QuickTime trailer from Eurofiles here.
