Ubisoft has confirmed suspicions that it will publish Snowblind Studios' Champions of Norrath PS2 sequel Champions: Return to Arms in PAL territories, as part of its ongoing relationship with series owner Sony Online Entertainment.

Ubisoft is planning to release Champions: Return to Arms in Europe during the first quarter of 2005, giving us another bite at the online cherry (using our +10 fangs of smiting, obviously), and introducing two new playable races, a non-linear storyline and a host of other features. You can find a clutch of celebratory screenshots here.

"Champions of Norrath was an incredible success and left PlayStation 2 gamers definitely wanting more," said John Smedley, president, Sony Online Entertainment. "Champions: Return to Arms will build upon the progressive features of the first edition with more single-player adventures, a deeper online and multiplayer experience, plus new characters, monsters, weapons and items."
