New Netflix The Witcher trailer finally gives us a release date

There's also something about a bathtub.

Save the date, Netflix's The Witcher arrives on 20th December.

The new trailer released today gives us a slightly better look at the series to come, and even lets us hear more of Henry Cavill's take on Geralt's voice.

Here he is, doing his best Doug Cockle impression.

In the trailer we see lots of fighting against bandits and monsters, the use of a bit of magic, and appearances from characters Ciri and Yennefer. Of course, it would be rude not to reference the infamous bath scene from the games, so that's in there too.

We've got a little while to wait now before we can see if Netflix's take on The Witcher does the books (and the games) any justice - so to help bide your time until that late December release date, why not have a read about The Witcher 3's excellent writing.
