New Lord of the Rings game on the way

Will star Aragorn and be aimed at kids.

Warner Bros. is working on a new licensed game titled Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest.

That's according to Shacknews, which spotted the info on an official E3 list of debut games.

Aragorn's Quest is said to be the first LOTR game "created specifically for kids and their families". Expect pick-up-and-play game mechanics and a "friendly, colourful rendition of Middle-Earth". We're also promised sword fights, archery and lancing. Everyone loves a bit of lancing.

There's no word yet on which platforms the game will appear on or when it's out, but we'll find out more at E3 next month.
