Minecraft Xbox 360 developer revealed

Perfect Dark XBLA's 4J Studios.

The developer behind the Xbox Live versions of Banjo & Kazooie and Perfect Dark is making the Xbox 360 version of PC hit Minecraft.

Dundee-based developer 4J Studios, which also made the PlayStation 3 version of Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, "seem to have a very good mentality, and obviously are very talented," Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson said on Twitter.

Then, "I'm a big fan of their previous work, and they've been working closely with Microsoft in the past."

Minecraft will come to Xbox Live Arcade "this winter" and supports Kinect. Minecraft 360 - a name hasn't been decided - will be designed specifically for consoles; it won't be the PC game on an Xbox 360.
