Microsoft has acquired the company that Don Mattrick co-founded before assuming his role as Xbox 360 boss.

He created online gaming company BigPark in 2007 with the help of industry veterans Will Mozell, Erik Kiss and Hanno Lemke. Their motto became, "We create the best 15 minutes of your day... anytime, anywhere." Wrong.

BigPark and Microsoft Game Studios have been working together for the past year, creating an exclusive Xbox 360 title we may see at next month's E3.

"We believe BigPark has tremendous potential to create new properties and innovative gaming experiences for our platforms, one of which we're looking forward to showcasing at the E3 Expo in June," said Microsoft Game Studios' Phil Spencer in a statement.

E3 takes place from 2nd to 4th June. We'll be there.
