Life is Strange dev's psychological thriller Twin Mirror out in December

Launching on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Dontnod, the developer behind the acclaimed likes of Life is Strange and Tell Me Why, will be bringing its latest narrative adventure, Twin Mirror, to Xbox One, PS4, and PC on 1st December.

Twin Mirror tells the story of former investigative journalist Sam Higgs as he returns home to the small town of Basswood, West Virginia, following the death of a friend.

What follows is a psychological thriller that looks to be very much in the vein of Dontnod's numerous other picturesque-locale-gone-freaky efforts, with the exploratory bits now married to a system where Sam - and his "more emphatic and social" alter-ego Double - are able to utilise his strikingly designed "mind palace", revisiting the past and searching for clues.

Eurogamer's Tom Phillip took a closer look at Twin Mirror earlier this year, with his time suggesting a "more grown-up, broody take on" Dontnod's familiar formula.

Unlike previous Dontnod narrative adventures, Twin Mirror won't go the episodic route, meaning players will get the whole story in one go when it comes to Xbox One, PS4, and the Epic Store (which has secured a one-year exclusivity deal on PC) on 1st December.
