Kojima: MGS: Peace Walker HD is 60FPS

Remake gets frame rate boost.

Hideo Kojima has said the high definition remake of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will run at 60 frames per second.

Tweets by the game developer legend, translated and compiled by Andriasang, suggest the PlayStation Portable game has received a lovely frame rate boost.

"60 frames per second in HD… it's the best! Say peace!" he said in one Tweet accompanied by images of Peace Walker.

The HD Peace Walker is set for release alongside Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD as part of a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, due out this year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is being crafted by Bluepoint, the developer behind the excellent God of War Collection. MGS3 runs at 60 frames per second, Kojima said last month.

Overnight, Kojima they'd originally tried to make the PS2 version of MGS3 60 frames per second, but the collision detection and jungle visuals were too intensive, so they had to keep it at 30.
