Jason Rohrer announces The Castle Doctrine

"A massively-multiplayer game of burglary and home defense."

Audacious indie developer Jason Rohrer - who brought us such experimental titles as grow-old-and-die-'em-up Passage and turn-based storytelling toolkit Sleep is Death - has revealed his next game as "a massively-multiplayer game of burglary and home defense" entitled The Castle Doctrine.

The game's official site tells us little about it other than it will be played from a top-down perspective and features Rohrer's usual minimalist pixelated artwork.

No release date has been given, but Rohrer noted it's "coming soon to PC/Mac/Linux."

For now, enjoy these first few images of someone burglarising or possibly burglarproofing a joint.
