Hellgate: London dated

November in Europe.

EA has announced that Hellgate: London will be released across Europe on 2nd November.

It's the PC role-playing game from Bill Roper and Flagship studios, which aims to blend the statistical nature of the genre with the fast paced action of first-person shooters.

You play as one of a handful of classes and have to rid our glorious capital city of hordes of undead, using nifty swordplay, guns, or spells.

It will also be among the first wave of games to offer an optional MMOG-style multiplayer mode. A free and limited online option will be included with the single-player game, but if you want to take it a step further you'll have to pay a monthly subscription of USD 9.95.

If you do, you'll have access to things like guilds, raids, new items - all types of fantasy guff you'd expect to find in an MMORPG.

"We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players," said Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios. "Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game."

There's no word on a public beta test at the moment, but we'll keep you posted.
