Gears 2 expansion gets price cut

Dark Corners now three quid less.

Microsoft and Epic have cut the price of Gears of War 2 expansion Dark Corners to 1200 Microsoft Points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 14.40).

Furthermore, the pair have decided to offer the All Fronts Collection - which bundles Dark Corners plus Flashback, Combustible and Snowblind map packs for GBP 14.99 / EUR 19.99 - as a digital download from Xbox Live Marketplace as well as in shops.

That's according to Epic's Rod Fergusson, who told IGN that lowering the price because of community feedback "felt like the right thing to do".

Dark Corners was originally priced at 1600 MSP (GBP 13.60 / EUR 19.20). The expansion adds seven multiplayer maps plus a new campaign called Road to Ruin, where Marcus and Dom return to the Locust Hollow to shoot things and grunt.

Dark Corners has new Achievements, too - taking the Gears 2 and its add-ons to the ceiling of 1750G. Dark Corners and All Fronts are both out on 28th July.
