Gears 2: Dark Corners double XP week

Happening now. Devs playing tomorrow.

Epic is celebrating the launch of the Dark Corners expansion for Gears of War 2 by running a double XP week.

Players who pick up the downloadable content, which came out on Tuesday, can earn double experience on any public game on the Dark Corners playlist or by playing public or private Horde games.

The XP multiplier is in place now and runs out on when everyone goes to sleep on 3rd August.

In the meantime, Epic developers will be online tomorrow, 31st July, between 4pm and 7pm Eastern Time, which is 9pm until midnight in old money.

You can check Xbox.com for the gamertags to add if you want to drop them fools.

Gears of War 2: Dark Corners costs 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20/€14.40) and consists of seven multiplayer maps and a new single-player/co-op "Deleted Scene" called Road to Ruin, which we checked out the other day.

It's also available as part of the All Fronts Collection, which costs 400 MSP more and also includes the three existing multiplayer map packs.
