Five Nights at Freddy's is planned for consoles

Dev confirms "it will happen".

Cult animatronic horror series Five Nights at Freddy's is planned for consoles, according to developer Scott Cawthon.

When asked on Steam about a console release, Cawthon answered: "Actually, yes! It will happen. I'm talking with a few companies who are interested in doing console remakes of the original games."

It's unclear what platforms are being targeted or whether these would be full-fledged remakes or enhanced ports, but it strongly suggests console gamers will be able to see what all the fuss was about when Cawthon's series went viral and spawned three sequels, a free RPG spin-off, and even sparked a movie deal.
