MachineWorks Northwest is on the verge of bringing Duke Nukem 3D to iPhone.

According to IGN, it's a full single-player port of the PC original with slightly smoothed graphics and, of course, a new control system.

Control can be handled by on-screen movement and viewing buttons, while you can press a fire button to blast away or use a tap-to-shoot mechanic for aiming instead. The HUD can also be made more or less transparent to suit.

There's no word on pricing or a release date, but apparently it's being uploaded to the store very soon.
