Castlevania Judgment coming to Wii

New fighter to feature online mode.

Konami has confirmed the forthcoming release of the first fighting game in the Castlevania series, exclusively for Wii.

Castlevania Judgment is being overseen by veteran producer Koji "Iga" Igarashi. It'll feature loads of characters from the series' 22-year history, and is billed as an "ideal entry point into the fighting game genre".

3D environments are promised, along with characters designed by manga artist Takeshi Obata. You'll use the remote and nunchuk to slash, stab and whip enemies. Plus you'll be able to set traps and command monsters, and use objects in the environments as weapons.

There's an online mode so you'll be able to battle it out via Wi-Fi Connection. And to top it all off, linking up with DS game Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia will unlock gameplay content.

Castlevania Judgment is out in the US this "fall". There's no word on a European release as yet.
