Card-battler Chronicle: Runescape Legends enters open beta today

After years in development, card-battling strategy game Chronicle: Runescape Legends is now in open beta.

Anyone with a PC can now try Chronicle, or download it from rschronicle.com.

Chronicle is less about battling characters or gaining control of the game board, and more infused with role-playing game quests.

The open beta phase will see the launch of two new Legend characters plus a new player-versus-player mode.

Chronicle was first announced all the way back in October 2014 - it's been a while. The move to open beta comes just after a report claimed Runescape and Chronicle developer Jagex was in talks with a Chinese mining company over a $300m acquisition deal.
