Capcom 1942 remake out this month

Joint Strike for PSN and XBLA.

Capcom plans to take us back to World War II by unleashing 1942: Joint Strike at the end of the month.

This is the old arcade blaster being remade by Backbone Entertainment (of Commando 3 fame) for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The former will get it on Wednesday 23rd July, and the latter a day later.

The 2D top-down shooter charms of 1942: Joint Strike are being revamped to sport 3D graphics and online co-operative fun. There's new music in it from Norihiko Hibino, who worked on the Metal Gear series.

Chocks away.
