Newcomer PQube has picked up the European rights to superb PS3 and Xbox 360 fighting game BlazBlue, and plans a launch here during Q1 2010.

Plus, to compensate for the six-month-plus wait, the PAL version will feature additional content. This includes a character strategy guide and soundtrack as well as new characters and moves.

English, German, French, Italian and Spanish languages will be catered for.

BlazBlue, made by Arc Systems, is a new face on the 2D fighting scene. "I can think of only a few instances where a new fighting game has broken onto the genre as such a strong contender," said Eurogamer reviewer Matt Edwards before smacking a 9/10 on the bottom.
