Halo co-op has been a staple of the franchise, and unfortunately - at least at launch - Halo Infinite is an exception.
Campaign co-op isn't available in Halo Infinite right now, but developer 343 Industries has confirmed it is coming - and has given us an estimated release date to work from.
This means - eventually - you and a friend to play the campaign in co-op, and not just rely on regular multiplayer to save the galaxy together.

Halo Infinite co-op estimated release date: Where is co-op in Halo Infinite?
Let's cut to the chase: There is no campaign co-op at launch in Halo Infinite.
Yes, we agree that this is a bit of a bummer. The promise of playing the campaign in co-op alongside a friend or online stranger is always enticing, but you will have to wait.
First announced during a development update back in August, 343 announced that neither campaign co-op nor Forge mode will be available at launch. Joseph Staten, the head of creative for Halo Infinite, mentioned in the video it was a "really tough decision" to delay both modes.
During an interview with Eurogamer, Staten mentioned that campaign co-op won't be available until Season 2 at the earliest. Season 2 of the battle pass is expected to launch on May 2022 - giving us an estimated co-op release date.
It could, of course, be later than that. Either way, you will have to wait quite a bit to play Halo Infinite's campaign in co-op, there is some information available at the moment in case you fancy some details beforehand.

In multiplayer, we can help with completing weekly challenges, including those for the commando rifle, fusion coil and a killing spree. How co-op will work in Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite introduces a big map with more exploration freedom than we're used to from the series, and this is can be enjoyed at its fullest with campaign co-op.
While this mode won't be available until May 2022 at the least, Staten has shared some details ahead of time.
In case you were wondering, yes, the mode will allow you to play campaign all the time. There aren't any specific sections or story beats where you won't be able to have someone alongside you.
Staten said campaign co-op is "this wonderful, wide open, nonlinear take on a Halo campaign, and it's going to offer so much more flexibility to take down Banished bases from all kinds of different angles, to progress through the game in your own way to a certain extent."
Elsewhere, Halo Infinite's campaign missions won't be replayable. Again, this is intended to change - and fingers crossed that feature and co-op will arrive at the same time, allowing you to replay the entire game with a friend, and pick up any missing skull locations while you're there
