GoldenEye Wii remake this year

Christmas release, online multiplayer.

Nintendo has confirmed reports that GoldenEye is on its way to Wii this Christmas.

As we told you recently, Activision plans to launch the game in November - and there's also a DS version, although it wasn't discussed at the Nintendo E3 conference.

Judging by the video shown during Nintendo's E3 conference, this is a tweaked remake of the Nintendo 64 first-person shooter classic.

It appeared to have current James Bond Daniel Craig's likeness in, along with split-screen and online multiplayer and special modes like paintball and melee.

"I remember it, you remember it," said Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime proudly, before trying to pronounce Mario again.
