New Overwatch map Busan goes live on all platforms

D.Va's sparkling Korea.

The new South Korean map Busan has been patched into Overwatch on all platforms - PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Busan is D. Va's home, where the MEKA robot suit she flies around is made, and you'll be able to see firsthand where she works. Busan is a Control map, which means teams fight to control zones, and as with other Control maps Ilios and Nepal etc. there are three different stages contained within one overarching map. These are Sanctuary, Downtown and MEKA Base.

Along with Busan come tweaks to characters in the game.

  • Brigitte's Shield Bash no longer overrides other characters' charging attacks, meaning she will now both knock opposing chargers down while being knocked down herself.
  • The effects of Reinhardt's Earthshatter ultimate will now more consistently hit enemies near walls, and travel up inclines and around payloads, but not damage enemies behind barriers or those walking into the damage-cone after the wave has blasted through.
  • Roadhog's alternate fire now has damage falloff, making it less effective against Reinhardt's barrier - and presumably other players - at range.
  • Widowmaker's grappling hook now maintains directional momentum when used on environments or structures which don't have a ledge, increasing her manoeuvrability.
