How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Dead Man’s Treasure puzzle

Far Cry 5 Dead Man's Treasure is a puzzle you have to solve within the Henbane River region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Dead Man's Treasure solution

Location: Dead Man's Mill

Rewards: 3 x perk magazines, $1,000

This Prepper Stash is one of the easier side-quests to complete in the Henbane River region, so it shouldn't cause you much trouble.

That being said, there will be around four to five cultists in the area you're going to complete it, so beware for a small firefight.

When you arrive at the Dead Man's Mill (located northwest of Moonflower Trailer Park), use the trees on the hill sloping towards the mill to snipe all the cultists to oblivion.

When the area is clear, head towards the mill and look for a Prepper Stash clue on a box at the rear of the building. You'll now need to make your way inside the mill, but it looks like the door is locked.

To get inside, head back to the front and look underneath the wooden stilts. You'll see a small opening - head inside, kill the skunk you find and climb up to reach the mill interior. In here, grab the rucksack of loot, then take the yellow wheel on the pile of rubbish in the middle of the room.

Drop back down the way you came, head to your left and move towards the bridge above the man-made waterfall (alternatively, you can smash a window and use the zipline to reach the same spot). On the side of this barrier you'll see a slot for the yellow wheel.

Attach it, then turn it to turn the flow of water off. Now you can climb down and use the grapple point to rappel down to the bottom of the ravine.

When you reach the bottom, detach your rope and enter the cave entrance that's now been revealed. When you're inside, drop down onto the ledge, then onto the cave floor.

Proceed forward and you'll find the Prepper Stash, all the goodies you could ask for a poor skeleton on the floor.
