Far Cry 5 - Animal Control solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's Animal Control treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 Animal Control is a puzzle you have to solve within the Henbane River region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

Animal Control solution

Location: Howling Cave

Rewards: 3 x perk magazines, $1,000

To find Howling Cave, head north from Peach's Taxidermy and head through the woods. Eventually you'll reach a small cliff-edge, and beneath it, two cultists and a wolf locked in a cage.

Take out the two cultists and leave the wolf be - shooting the cage will just end up unleashing it, forcing you to into unnecessary danger. Turn around and you'll see that cliff drop is actually the entrance to a huge cage - Howling Cave, to be precise.

You'll be entering this foreboding abode shortly, but you'll need to activate the side-quest first. Turn around and head back down the trail away from the cave entrance. You'll find a corpse slumped against some boxes.

The box with the Prepper Stash clue will be next to him. Read the note, activate the quest and head back to the cave entrance. Equip a decent shotgun/bow and walk inside the rocky dwelling.

There will be two wolves in here, one of which is hopped up on Bliss so take both out with a few well-timed headshots. At the bottom of the rocky ramp you'll find lots of bodies and a couple of rucksacks ready for looting.

Now head back up the ramp (watching out for a potential cougar that stalks this area). Look up and you'll see a grapple point. Use this to reach the ledge above.

Climb up the next few ledges and you'll reach a chasm with a water pool at the bottom. Jump off into the water, then climb up the other side. There will be three cultists in this area, and a caged wolf. Use the grapple point to reach the higher level and you'll discover a helicopter, of all things.

The Prepper Stash is located near its tail. You can even try flying the helicopter out of there, but it's a tricky ascent.
