Free-to-play mech shooter Hawken enters open beta next week, Meteor Entertainment has announced.

On Wednesday 12th December 2012, aka 12/12/12, the open beta will be accessible worldwide except in China.

Developer Adhesive Games will use the open beta to implement feedback from the closed beta, including features, balance changes and improvements. These updates will be rolled out in waves during the open beta event, and feedback to this will influence the final version of the game.

“It's been a long road and I'm getting the jitter bug as we are getting near our Open Beta Event," said co-founder Khang Le.

You can register for the game at PlayHawken.com.
