Far Cry 3 has been delayed until 30th November in the UK for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, Ubisoft has announced.

It was previously slated to come out in September.

Far Cry 3's North American release is now 4th December.

Eurogamer's Fred Dutton went behind the scenes with the game earlier this month at E3 and discovered that underneath the relatively straight-laced set-up it's actually a deranged satire on the entire shooter genre.

"It will attempt to bend the rules of the video game form, poke fun at itself and offer insight into how and why we sit down in front of our TV screens and mash away at those buttons," he wrote in our Far Cry 3 preview.
