Halo 4 box art pieced together by fans

It has explosions, it has alien technology, it has Master Chief in his snazzy new suit.

Meet the Halo 4 cover art, which fans have pieced together from 32 snippets posted to the Halo Waypoint forums.

Halo 4, the first in the series developed by Microsoft's 343 Industries, will launch on 6th November.

"343's new direction may be only a few degrees removed from the one that the series departed on, but the studio has proved that it's building upon Bungie's foundation in meaningful ways," Eurogamer's Martin Robinson wrote in Eurogamer's Halo 4 preview. "It's still Halo - and for now that should tell you everything you need to know about 343's handling of the franchise."
