Not content with working on a third game in the series for the PC, BritSoft developer Revolution today sent word that their classic adventure game Broken Sword : Shadow of the Templars is being ported to the GameBoy Advance, with a release expected around the end of the year. Originally released on the beige box just four years ago, it's a testament to the power of Nintendo's new hand-held that developing a fairly faithful version of the game for it is even feasible.

"A version of Broken Sword for Game Boy Advance started off as a mad suggestion a couple of months back", according to managing director Charles Cecil. "We prototyped the graphic engine, got the basic gameplay working and realised that it worked really, really well. A month or two ago, I wouldn't have believed it possible - but Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars on Game Boy Advance is, to all intents and purposes, the PC CD-ROM version. Though obviously at a lower resolution, the animations and backgrounds retain amazing clarity."

Strange but true...
