Three new DLC maps announced for Vermintide

Holy Sigmar.

Rat mashing fans rejoice - developer Fatshark has announced three new maps for Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, to be released on the 26th of May.

The maps, each of which takes place outside of the Ubersreik region, will be bundled together in a DLC called Drachenfels. Not the catchiest of names, but then it is a vast improvement on the last Vermintide DLC, which was Schluesselschloss. Try saying that five times after a few jars in the Red Moon Inn.

The first map invites you to explore Castle Drachenfels, an ancient ruin and former home to a powerful necromancer. The Dungeons takes place in the belly of Drachenfels, pitting Vermintide's heroes against a number of traps, while Summoner's Peak will task players with destroying some Nurgle portals.

Players will be pleased to hear that the traps in The Dungeons will randomise for each run; Vermintide hinges on players revisiting maps time and again, meaning these traps would have effectively become redundant if players were able to memorise their locations in the same way they do for tomes and grimoires.
