Xbox One to launch with FIFA 14 in Europe - rumour

At no additional cost.

UPDATE: Confirmed!

Original story: Xbox One is rumoured to come bundled with FIFA 14 at no additional cost in Europe.

According to MCV, a couple of "senior games industry sources" said this will be revealed at Gamescom tomorrow. Until then, Microsoft and EA are staying mum.

Many have criticised the Xbox One for launching at £429.99, £80 more than PS4. This FIFA arrangement would mitigate much of that difference as the game alone retails for £54.99. This bundle would also curry favour towards Microsoft after it announced that the Xbone One would be delayed in several countries (but those affected will still be able to import it).

Of course, not everyone cares about FIFA, but many do as FIFA 13 was the biggest sports video game ever, selling an astonishing 4.5 million copies in its first five days on store shelves. After six weeks, it had shifted 7.4 million units.

We'll know more details about this tomorrow. Now, would a complimentary copy of FIFA seal the deal for you?
